One of the Confederal Council proposals for the Centenary was the creation of a Logo that pictorially symbolizes
The sense of the event
The proposed topic in preparation for the Celebrations
A synthesis of a century of life
The Assoaciation future perspective
The answer to the project has been really positive and revealed a great enthusiasm supported by a sense of affiliation that make us hope the best about a re-launching of the Association across the world. Different styles that represent different original cultures and places. So, the choice hasn’t been easy, because we’re talking about valuable works that faithfullt translate our Association Spirit and the topic sense “Hands in the world, roots in the heart”. All of them will be exposed and emphasized.
Anyway, Confederal Council had to officially choose only one of them, and, after a careful review, chose the Logo created by sr. Alba Vernazza, FMA Union Delegate of the Ligurian Federation (Italy). We clearly see in it the hands in the world and Mary Help of Christians’ Basilica of Turin and Valponasca little window, too: an excellent synthesis of our Salesian-Mornesine spirituality.
In giving thanks to everyone who participated to our proposal, in a really serious, creative and skilled way, we especially want to thank sr. Alba and her Federation for such a precious contribution to our Centenary Celebration.
With sr. Maritza and all the Councillors, we wait for you in Turin from March 4th to 8th, 2008.

Carolina Fiorica
Confederal President
