President Letter - January 2011

What is done is done

My dears,

A new year is given to us: and we hope it will be really “good” so we wish the first of January.
I think that to the midnight of every end of the year, even if in the joy of the party, our thoughts think about what we live in the former months: joy, sorrows, successes and injustices, pains and precariousness of some situations, projects for the future.

And, in general, we feel in our heart (and perhaps over our shoulders, folded from the weight of the existence) the time that running , the days, the months, the years…
But what passed is passed.
The present time is the only we can live. This cannot be improvised. It is the fruit of a great exercise of the soul and of the will, linked, as always, to the Word of God to not enlarge

- the pain, caused by the other people so that it will not change in resentment;
- the joy that fill periods of the life so that it will not change in delusion of the present;
- the recognition by the creatures and the gratification so that it will not change in a sensation of failure when it there is not.

Living the real time, first of all for the people who has responsibilities, cannot be without a view to the future. Because of that doesn’t mean irresponsibility.
Another time we have to work with discernment to live the present, considering to think to the advantages and disadvantages of every situation in the present and in the future of our actions, our words, our silences. And yes! It is an art. The new day invites us to this growth and to leave and enlarge this art.
Art of living, not surviving adapting to the life, often compromise, of admission not convinced, of indifference of what happens around us.
In the personal and common life.

With the love of always… and more and more…

Yours Carolina
