 After the experience of Fatima, where in may we celebrated the European Meeting of the Line of Commitment, I had the possibility and the great gift to carry out other two pilgrimages in marian sanctuaries.
It is a good thing for the soul going in places where the blue Mother wanted to be present and alive over this ground.
At Czestochowa, we celebrated the International Marian Meeting promoted by the ADMA but open to all the salesian Family. The Chancellor wanted that all the Persons in charges of the many Groups of the Salesian Family would be present as a clear sign that all this big movement of people, unified in the name of Don Bosco, belongs to Mary. The subject of the meeting - “Totus tuus”- plan of living of Giovanni Paolo II - his presence in that land is known with boy and soul is become for all of us an indication of belonging.
I went with the Confederal Counselors Gerda and Rita representing all the Association.
Of all of you. Another time I verified that the choice of a marian place for a meeting is really winner. The atmosphere done of devotion and reflection prepares the souls to the welcoming of the proposed contents. So as happened at Fatima.
The “Black Our Lady” of Czestochowa was there waiting us pilgrims. All of us.
Every free moments of the works of the meeting was precious for us to run to the Mum.
The great and deep devotion of the polish people towards Our Lady shocked me.
We have to think to this people that obstructed in the last decades respect own faith, resisted and strengthen own belonging to the Church under the tender and sad sight of Our Lady.
How we can’t think of us that consider all expected and risk to live the faith as “watered”?!
Other “visit” to the Mum: La Salette. During the course of the spiritual Exercises of Castelnuovo Nigra we carried out the pilgrimage to a marian Sanctuary situated at 1800 meters of altitude, in France. Natural breathtaking frame. The sanctuary is situated between the mountains under the blue sky of a beautiful day prepared of Our Lady. Mary appears to the two little shepherds of La Salette one time. But the message is similar to those of the other visions “Turn Back to My Son”. Yes. She wants always take us to Jesus and She finds the more strange and unknown strategies for our mind, so rational and pragmatic.
To Our Lady, under all the titles we want invoke Her, I entrust you, your family and the people you loves. She will illuminates our ways, sometimes hard to help us to pass the difficulties.
